Educate the Mind. Stir the Heart. Motivate the Will.

CCC’s mission is to educate the mind, stir the heart, and motivate the will of each individual, empowering them to navigate today’s ever-changing cultural climate with solid values and trustworthy biblical principles. CCC seeks to demonstrate the compassion, truth, and power of Jesus Christ in culture through social engagement, humanitarian works, and biblical solutions that heal, uplift, and transform.

CCC’s vision is to create a dynamic, compassionate, empowering learning environment where people from all walks of life are fed spiritually, informed intellectually, stirred emotionally, and motivated with renewed strength to live out their faith in today’s ever-changing culture.

In 1978, A.R. Bernard left his 10-year career in finance, and he and his wife Karen used their personal savings to open a storefront church in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, New York. The church began with a handful of members, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and reaching out to the local Brooklyn community.

A lifelong learner, A.R. Bernard’s background in operations empowered him to plan and structure his ministry to grow efficiently and effectively as it moved from the storefront to a loft, a hotel, an auditorium, and a supermarket before landing at its current 11.5-acre location in Brooklyn.

A.R. Bernard’s transformative teachings have catapulted CCC to become New York’s largest house of worship with over 45,000 members, and one of the fastest growing churches in America. CCC is situated on an 11.5-acre campus in Brooklyn, with a master plan to accommodate 700 units of affordable housing, commercial, and residential space. There is also a satellite location on Long Island, with plans for more satellite locations in the future.

A. R. Bernard has a Master of Urban Studies and a Master of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary. He has been awarded an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from Wagner College, and an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Nyack College/Alliance Theological Seminary. His wife Karen left her career in Queens County Supreme Court to raise 7 sons and co-pastor with her husband. Together they have successfully experienced 45 years of marriage and 39 years of ministry.

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father.

Through Him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation, He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures; He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son, He is worshiped and glorified.

He has spoken through the Prophets.

We believe in one holy universal and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
